This is it… and we couldn’t be more giddy excited! The Rustic Poppy has been a dream of ours for awhile now. We are so thrilled to reveal our exciting designs with you! Our goal though… isn’t just to share designs and colors with you, but also the memories and the stories that go in the frames. We want to share our stories and life with you too! So please know… from our family to yours that we are thankful you found us and that we are excited to share our passion for framing your pictures.
A bit about us: We are a husband and wife team. We have very different strengths which make us stronger together! But Talk about opposites… Jared is crazy fun, energetic, very talented in his woodworking, and loves… loves… loves… spending time with the toons cranked up out in his shop! (sometimes the kids and I will sneak out there and have a little dance party) I think if Jared had a free day all to himself the first thing he would do is work on his ’64 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. Jared is one of the most hardworking men I know! Something that makes me crazy in love with him is the way he loves on our sweet kiddos… Something that he told my parents when he asked to marry me was that he has two goals in life… One was to be a great husband and father and the second one was to go 200 miles an hour on his motorcycle. I must say that he has met his first goal… and I genuinely hope he NEVER achieves his second.
I am a photographer and own Recollect Photography and I have loved spending time with little ones, families and couples on their Wedding Day. It was my original love for scrapbooking and preserving memories that made it a natural transition into photography. I spent a number of years as an outside sales rep in the dental field and while I did love it… we wanted more family time… There is something about doing something that you are passionate about that is refreshing! A few of my favorite things include Scrapbooking, Starbucks coffee, dark chocolate, fall cuddly nights, Chai Tea and cheery pops of color. I absolutely can’t resist… my sweet girl when she asks me to dance in the kitchen and I adore my little guy when his contagious smile lights up his face.
So – here we are now… through the wisdom, love and support of our family and friends and We have decided to go big and team up… my passion for preserving memories and Jared’s passion woodworking and together we created The Rustic Poppy. We have been taught from a wise man that if you follow what you are passionate about and put our customers first… you can’t go wrong. As a family … we are taking a few steps of faith to share our passion with you and we are excited for the adventure together!
